Dissertation Topic: Potential public health risks associated with LaCrosse virus lineage III.

Research Interests: My research focuses on the newly isolated strain (lineage III) of La Crosse virus (LACV) in the Northeast, USA. Specifically, I am determining the horizontal and vertical transmission of potential mosquito vectors, pathogenesis in murine models, and LACV evidence in wild sciurid host species. My goal is to determine the potential public health risks associated with LACV lineage III using a One-Health lens.
