Accessing Pesticide Information
This exercise will be done outside of a regularly scheduled lab. If you do not have easy access to a computer that is linked to the internet, please see Dr. Mullins and he will provide access to the Price Hall Computer lab (Price 301A) to complete this exercise.
OBJECTIVES:
To explore some of the pesticide literature data bases that are currently available on computerized systems:

1. Presentation of pesticide data bases
2. Instruction on accessing to computerized (internet) data bases
3. Laboratory assignment: See below.
The addresses listed below will access to specific information servers which can provide information on pesticides and other chemicals
Some of the general title searches bases will include:
Nine exercises are designed to provide students with experience in using computerized data bases for obtaining informat on on pesticides. Students will be expected to complete these exercises and hand them in ( March 20, 2007), during the laboratory) The specific assignment details are indicated (italicized). The assignment can be prepared by "cutting and pasteing" answers into a Microsoft Word file downloadable as an rtf file(CLICK HERE), that you can print to hand in. The computer lab Macintosh computers will receive a jump drive, or you can export to a computer/printer by e-mailing it as an attachment.
